Rain on Succulent Flower

There was a thunderstorm early this morning. It blew by before the sunrise and we now have a glorious summer day.
 I am sometimes amazed at the quality of picture one can obtain with just sn android phone. My Canon rebel couldn't focus this well closeup.  I think I would have to have a macro lens, not just the setting on the dial.

We finally got a good soaking two day rain and the flowers loved it.

Its almost the peak of flower season.  Alas! So short. We actually have over a month of prime growing left yet but already the days are getting shorter.

I took the picture with my phone, tweaked it with Picture Guru, dropboxed it to my computer and added the edge shading in Photoshop.  Gotta love technology.
